Melanie’s calm, commonsense approach to Lucy Lurcher’s fear aggression boosted our confidence and helped us build a closer dog/owner relationship. Lucy slowly learned to trust us and looked to us for guidance when interacting with other dogs. With Melanie’s help Lucy blossomed into a great companion. Sadly, Lucy is now at Rainbow Bridge. We miss her very much.
Mel has been excellent helping us with Lola our American Cocker Spaniel x Jack Russel get through serious seperation anxiety and aggression. It took many months of working together to get to a place where Lola can be left on her own without fuss and most importantly aggression. Walking Lola is now a pleassure with only the occational incident! Mel has always continued to support us well after the initial first meeting! Thanks Mel for your help, Hannah

I had been struggling with getting my cat to accept my dog for over a year. Whilst the dog was no issue the cat was another story! I’d tried to get help from numerous places with no luck. With Melanies help I saw a change in my cats behaviour within days. I couldn’t believe how quickly and easily everything she suggested worked. I can’t thank you enough for you help and suffice to say both Smudge (the cat) and Bobby (the dog) are much happier together now.
When we took on earlier this year a 2-year old Pointer Bitch with aggression issues, we were totally unprepared, even though we have had dogs for close on 30 years. Melanie visited us and we soon learnt that we needed the training and not our girl! She is a quick learner, a beautiful and loving animal, and, slowly but surely, we are getting there! Melanie has kept her promise and is always there for advice, and, even with our presumed experience, you can never get too much of that!
I was extremely fortunate to have come into contact with Melanie just before getting our giant breed puppy from the breeder. With her advice, we were able to set up a training plan and domestic environment to best suit our type of dog, and avoid many of the problems associated with puppydom. I’m so pleased with how well adjusted and friendly our dog is, and attribute this to the fantastic start we had, based on Mel’s sound advice and ongoing support. I would recommend Melanie wholeheartedly.
mel visited my home a couple months ago i have 5 dogs not all same breeds melanie helped me out as it is all about the dogs 2 poodles 1 yorkie 1 disabled staff and a pitt x mastiff pup who unfortunatly had to be put to sleep for keep attacking dogs.mel was fantastic even at 10.30 pm when i phoned her in a state the pitt had attacked my poodle quite badly mel spoke to me about the ways to go on this and was so kind.the work mel done in the house with the dogs was great and it wasnt about money with mel it was helping which was a great help for me most trainers wanted over 400.00 to visit because i had 5 dogs mel charged me a fantastic quote and now all my dogs walk well together and sleep ok together i will no doubt use mel again in the future if i need to thanks mel for everything
Our six year old Cocker Spaniel had been getting more and more aggressive with other dogs. It had got to the point that nobody in the family wanted to walk her because it had become so stressful.
Mel came to the house and we had a long discussion. She gave me detailed explanations about why our dog behaves the way she does and sound ideas about how to deal with various situations.
We are now armed with a much better understanding of our dog and have implemented Mel’s suggestions. It is now two months since talking to Mel and we have not had any further “incidents” i.e. fights with other dogs. Hooray!
Thanks Mel, dog walking is a pleasure again!
Melanie came on board to help with my rescue dog Archie who expresses fear aggression towards other dogs as a result of a difficult past. She was so easy to talk to and supportive during the consultation and provided a holistic approach to Archie’s issues. Melanie was realistic and said that Archie may never feel totally comfortable with other dogs. She showed us ways to manage his issues on walks, how to give him choices and build his confidence and also alternative activities to a walk that will help to keep him happy and fulfilled. The introduction to raw feeding that was recommended has been wonderful and the change in Archie’s condition is marked. I feel much more empowered as his owner and would highly recommend Melanie. She helped me look at my dog in a new way, and opened up a new perspective for us on dog behaviour. Thank you.
I booked Melanie for a pupply consultation at my home – I have two nine-week St. Bernards. I was beyond delighted with the whole meeting. Melanie is a wealth of information. At the end of our meeting, I felt as if I knew everything there is to know about how to care for my puppies – this is an amazing feeling for a new owner. Melanie also handed me a packet of carefully selected information which covered everything that we had discussed in the meeting. I have referred back to it every day. Give you and your puppy the best start… call Melanie!

Our rescued Yorkshire Terrier Bonnie had become very agressive towards me whenever I gave my husband anything to eat or drink. Within seconds she could turn from cutie to terrifying.
Melanie was able to show us where the problems lay and her suggestions resulted in an immediate improvement in behaviour and consequently a much happier dog and owner.
I would not hesitate to recommend Melanie to anyone with problems with their pets.
Many thanks Melanie.
